Making 3D is
hard and expensive.

Anyone who wants a 3D model either spends years learning to model, or pays someone. For a hobby project that's too much to ask.

A character for your game, a part for your 3D printer, a prop for your Roblox world. The idea takes five seconds; making the model takes days — if you even know how.

AI can now turn a photo into a surprisingly good 3D model. But that technology is hidden behind developer tools, credits and file formats that don't work in the software you use.

Threely wraps that in an app anyone understands: take a photo, wait a moment, use the model. Where the model needs to go — Blender, Unity, Roblox or your printer — the app takes care of.

From photo to model
in four steps.

Simple up front,
serious behind the scenes.

An app that feels simple takes a lot of work behind the scenes. Here's a selection.

Smart queue

Three models in production at once, subscribers first. If a generation fails, you get your credit back automatically. If something gets stuck, the system cleans it up itself.

A 3D viewer that works offline

Models and previews are stored on your device. On the train with no signal? Your collection is simply there.

Five formats, made in-house

We produce the STL format for 3D printers in-house — so no extra cost per download and no dependence on third parties.

Plugins for your 3D software

Blender, Unity and Roblox Studio each get their own plugin. Model ready in the app → appears in your project seconds later.

Subscriptions via Stripe

Pay, upgrade, pause. Payment confirmations are never processed twice; on a failed payment you get seven days' grace.

Free thanks to ads

Free users occasionally see a short rewarded ad — neatly built in, with a fallback channel if the first provider has nothing.

Gallery & likes

Share your best models in the public gallery. An administrator approves what becomes visible.

Fair use

Smart limits per device and connection stop anyone from draining the system with ten free accounts.

Text to 3D

Type what you want instead of taking a photo. The engine already exists, the button in the app is on its way. Planned

One app,
four moving parts.

Device

The app

One codebase for iOS and Android, with access to camera, files and notifications.

Server

The backend

Manages accounts, credits, queue, payments and the admin panel.

AI

The generation model

Turns the photo into a 3D model. The backend tracks progress and fetches the result.

Storage

The cloud

Models, previews and source photos, delivered fast worldwide.

Desktop

The plugins

Blender, Unity and Roblox listen for new models over a live connection.

Everything that takes time happens in the background. The app requests a model, the server queues it, sends it to the AI, waits, converts the result into five formats and puts everything in the cloud. All the app has to ask is: “ready yet?”

That makes the system robust: close the app, lose signal, restart your phone — the generation simply continues and the result waits for you.

Not just
an AI wrapper.

  1. The model lands where you need it

Other tools give you a download. Threely puts the model straight into Blender, Unity or Roblox Studio — three plugins that talk to the app live.

  2. Credits that add up

A credit is reserved on request, refunded on failure and never counted twice. Boring to build, essential to trust.

  3. In-house format conversion

By producing STL ourselves, we don't pay a supplier per download — and we can offer a free plan that stays sustainable.

  4. Ready for the app stores

The payment system is designed so that Apple and Google payments can later sit alongside Stripe, without rewriting the logic.

  5. Free without being annoying

Ads only as a reward, never as a wall. Two providers in sequence, so there's always something to show — or nothing, and then you just carry on.

Made sturdy,
the hard way.

Challenge

Compressing a large model on the server used up all the memory — and the whole backend went down.

Solution

Errors are now logged instead of fatal. Compression sits behind a kill switch and is moving to a separate process. One heavy task can no longer drag down the rest.

Challenge

A temporary hiccup at the AI provider marked generations as permanently failed.

Solution

An intermediate “unknown” status, a limited number of retries and a grace window. Temporary is not the same as broken.

Challenge

The mobile 3D viewer sometimes disappeared or leaked memory after repeated opening.

Solution

Timers cleaned up properly and the graphics context released explicitly. Recovery after minimising the app is still on the list.

Challenge

When switching payment keys, price references fell out of sync and the server refused to start.

Solution

Every price now self-heals separately at start-up and reports loudly what's wrong, instead of stopping at the first error.

On the way to
the app stores.
